Clear Skies over Wallingford
May 2023
25 miles downstream from Oxford, Wallingford and Crowmarsh sit on either side of the Thames, connected by a medieval bridge. The bridge has been repaired and updated many times since 1151 and briefly included a drawbridge during civil war in the 1640s.
Further south the river is busy with rowers from both universities. The ‘eights’ create a surprising amount of wash; enough waves to challenge any photographer foolish enough to stand up in a small boat!
