Boats in Autumn
September 2020
The rowing boats at Salters boat station stay in the water for the last few sunny days on the river before the weather turns.
Late in October the little boats and punts migrate down the river to their winter quarters, travelling in jostling bundles behind a busy tug boat.
I look forward to seeing them return each year as one of my personal signs of Oxford’s spring.
