Swinford Toll Bridge
April 2025
One of only two remaining toll-bridges on the Thames. Drivers between Oxford and Eynsham know the road well, but few of them will have seen this spectacular view from the river; the drivers suffer in an irritated noisy queue while boats glide serenely under the bridge.
Rock Doves and erosion have sculpted amazing textures into the blocks of local limestone. It catches the afternoon sun to creates constantly moving reflections in the fast-flowing water under the bridge.
